Simulations

The United States Air Force uses flight simulators extensively for training.  It’s not unusual for pilots to spend several hundred hours in a simulator before ever sitting behind the controls of the real thing.  When they do get to fly, though, pilots are so accustomed to the behavior of the airplane that the risk of danger and cost of training are greatly reduced.

Orbital RPM applies these same principles to organizational learning.  By practicing in a controlled environment, participants can experiment, make mistakes and improve under the direction of peers or a coach.

Orbital RPM offers simulations for all levels of your organization.  Since there is commonality between executive roles at different organizations the only templated simulation we offer is for executives.  Custom simulations can be designed for any other organizational need.

On-camera Executive interviews:

Can you successfully explain what your company does in under 30 seconds to the casual inquirer? On camera?

How would you respond to a relentless media personality that has gotten word of some of your organization’s most pressing challenges and wants to chat? On camera?

An executive’s ability to communicate is tantamount to their effectiveness.  Whether it is to a potential client in the elevator, to the organization or in a grueling interview, executives need to be able to speak with confidence and laser-like precision when conveying their strategy, feelings and projections.

Orbital RPM prepares executives for these occasions by using a video camera, an interviewer and a professional coach. Each session includes real-time feedback and enough tries until it is right.  Participants also receive a DVD of their performance that has been edited to show highlights of good practices, areas for improvement and any unforgettable moments.  The final cuts can also be used as performance support tools, as a component of new-hire integration or posted on the organization’s website or intranet.
